Grand Ballroom and Prefunction Spaces
The most beautiful room of its size in the city of Charleston. Walled in beige wainscoting with refined Wedgewood blue plaster, the room has coffered ceilings and high-performance acoustically engineered tile to accommodate the most sophisticated events. Decorative fabric-covered acoustic dividing walls can be deployed to divide the Grand Ballroom into three smaller ballrooms. Each room is individually connected to prefunction spaces, restrooms, and a service corridor to back-of-the-house facilities.
Terrace Lawn
The Terrace Lawn is a festive outdoor space immediately accessible from the Grand Ballroom, yet surrounded by the beautiful gardens of the Charleston Gaillard Center. The Terrace Lawn is appropriate for a party or dancing related to an ongoing event indoors or a stand alone outdoor event. It can accommodate recreational or athletic uses, event tents, large group functions, performances, and passive park activities. The Terrace Lawn greatly enriches cultural and business event opportunities at the Charleston Gaillard Center.
Salons
Four intimate Salons grace the second level of the Galleria Lobby. Perfectly designed for intimate meetings, cocktails, or small receptions, independently or in conjunction with larger events. Each salon is independently accessed and has access to dedicated restrooms. All four salons are connected by a continuous and spacious corridor that can be used as pre-function or gathering space.
Martha and John M. Rivers Performance Hall
The renowned Charleston Gaillard Center’s Martha and John M. Rivers Performance Hall is a stunning horseshoe-shaped, modified opera house with world-class acoustics and the elegance of the most memorable performance halls in the world. Carefully designed to fit like a perfectly cut gem into the heart of Charleston’s historic district, the hall is sized to 1,818 seats to attract and accommodate exceptional productions.
Performance Hall Lobby
The grandest space in the hall except for the Performance Hall itself. The Performance Hall Lobby is fitted with two nicely proportioned and inviting stone and wood refreshment bars which are flanked at each end with elegant circular staircases. The room is adorned in wood wainscoting and beige walls, detailed plaster crown molding, two large mirrored media boards, and a stunning ceiling.
Martha Rivers Ingram Founders Lounge
The most exclusive and refined space for events in the Martha & John M. Rivers Performance Hall, the Martha Rivers Ingram Founders Lounge features beautiful herringbone Brazilian cherry parquet floors, rich cherry wainscoting, and a curvilinear coved vaulted ceiling with wood coffered beams.
