Youth Theater Camp

Our summer theater program will use the unique Storytree Children’s Theatre playwriting method, which places the child’s voice and imagination at the center of its approach while fostering teamwork, creativity, and entertainment. Students are guided by theater and dance educators as they write an original play, choreograph the dances, design the set and costumes, sing and perform on the stage of the Martha and John M. Rivers Performance Hall for family and friends.

Please note that COVID-19 safety procedures will be in place. Camp will be limited to 15 students and masks must be worn at all times.

Please note that COVID-19 safety procedures will be in place. Camp will be limited to 15 students. All fully vaccinated staff members and students can go without wearing a face mask as outlined in the CDC guidance effective Monday, May 10, 2021. Those who feel more comfortable wearing a mask are encouraged to do so. This policy applies to all staff, ushers, volunteers, patrons, and students. Staff members, ushers, volunteers, patrons, and students who have not been vaccinated should continue wearing masks and follow other safety protocols as per the CDC Interim guidelines outlined on our Patron Safety page here. We remain committed to following the guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as the local guidelines from the City of Charleston. As we move forward, we will continue to monitor guidelines for the latest public health innovations so that we are continually updating these procedures.
