May we have this dance? In this final Pops concert of the 2022-2023 season, it will be difficult to stay in your seat with spirited music from around the world. From tangoes and rumbas to folk dances and waltzes, the CSO has it covered in this melting pot of sounds.

George Gershwin was inspired by a trip to Cuba for his Cuban Overture. Let the toe-tapping commence with selections from Slavonic Dance composed byAntonín Dvořák, Piazzolla’s Tangos, and Manual de Falla’s Suite No. 1 from The Three-Cornered Hat to Cinco de Salsa and music from Lord of the Dance. Popular musicals have long brought us tunes that are danceable; “Shall We Dance?” from The King and I and “Mambo” from West Side Story are no exceptions.
