Joyce Yang, Piano
Ken Lam, Conductor
After becoming an instant hit with the CSO in 2017, beloved pianist Joyce Yang returns to Charleston to close out the season with a night of Russian romantic music. Yang will play Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 3, which Prokofiev pieced together from scraps of music he had written here and there over the previous years. The piece steadily grew in popularity, and is now considered one of the most cherished piano concertos ever written.
